Yoga at work
“Catherine’s yoga sessions were well received by colleagues across all abilities. Initially we booked live sessions and then we asked Catherine to record some tailored videos which our members have appreciated watching and re-watching”
Yoga in the workplace improves physical and mental health for staff who sit, stand or look at screens for long periods. It can be hugely important in reducing sense of isolation for the growing numbers of people who are remote or home working; increases resilience and positive relationships within teams, and unlocks greater creativity. If you’re an employer wanting to join the growing numbers who are introducing well-being schemes and investing in their staff teams please contact me to discuss your needs.
Sessions delivered for Covea Insurance; Royal Sun Alliance and UNISON members of the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE)
‘I did Catherine's yoga class last year when I was recovering from my 2nd hip revision. They were recorded short or longer sessions were brilliant for me which meant I could fit them around my day. The sessions are a perfect way to build some mobility and relaxation into a busy day particularly if you sit at a desk all day. I would thoroughly recommend these sessions to anyone and they are pitched at a level that a beginner will understand but are also sufficient for someone who has is a long time yoga devotee. Although I have done Pilates for years I was worried that I would be able to manage the sessions but they were pitched at the perfect level for me. Delighted that UNISON has decided to fund these classes again.”

What to expect from a session
These are safe, supportive sessions based on hatha yoga, incorporating movement and breath work. I accommodate injuries, health issues and individual needs.
You'll learn breath and movement practices proven to help with stress reduction and the various musculoskeletal issues associated with desk work. You'll increase strength & steadiness, build joint stability, and begin to feel more at ease in your whole body and in yourself. In each session we’ll begin by grounding the body, connecting to the breath and continue by combining breath with movement. We’ll include some standing sequences, balances and finish by coming into stillness with a breath practice or a guided meditation.
